Due Diligence
At Kimura Financial we undertake two types of due diligence; legal due diligence and business due diligence.
It’s important that after thoroughly researching any potential investment we then cover the due diligence process. For this process depending on the type of investment, we may employ specialists in any particular field depending on the investment.
Here is a breakdown of what we cover:
Business Due Diligence
Before we will invest in any venture we have specialists that will conduct due diligence in the following areas:
- Look at the current market that the product/service is in
- We look at the management teams past and present track record
- Who are the competition in the market
- Analyze company future projections
- Company past performance
Legal Due Diligence
Depending on the investment we like to employ specialist lawyers to conduct a full overview. Any company that we are interested in will receive a due diligence checklist from our lawyers requesting information on the company. It’s the company’s responsibility to complete any legal documentation that we request. Key documents that we ask for are:
- Past, current and future contracts for the business
- Employment contracts
- Asset holdings
